This song, "Gone the Bells," by an amazing band named Cotton Jones, is arguably the best song on their album Paranoid Cocoon, but the whole album is incredible. There will never be another Generation X, & I consider myself blessed to have lived it in real time, even though I was still a little fish. The world seemed so big back in those salad days of my youth. What an era. Of course, a haunting & sad RIP for Michael Hutchence, the lead singer. Supposedly, he hung himself in the manner of auto-asphyxiation, which is odd, since he could have had any girl he wanted. Nope, died alone, belt around his neck, in a hotel room. Fun fish fact: The very 1st digital animation I ever made, was to this song, around 15-ish years ago. Good times. I made a little man, laying in a bed, staring at the ceiling in some surreality room, when suddenly, his head detached, floating outside of the window into a haunting night. This is a sweet little ditty from the late great Gabor Szabo. Most of you have no idea who he is, I'd wager. Too bad, considering he's arguably the best guitar player ever. That's right, he had the fanciest fingers, but sadly, he died young, ironically the same age I am now. Spooky. Nonetheless, he's an iconic gem that'll live forever as long as people keep playing guitars. If you've never heard of him, look him up on here. He's a fascinating man. Not only his music, but his story as well, is absolutely brilliant, minus the premature death, of course. This song here is one of the few songs he wrote with actual lyrics. Most of his songs are these cosmic guitar jams with no words, just magical music for weary soul travelers. He was from another time, but he left us his music to enjoy on our own travels, respectively. Wherever he might be, I'm sure he's smiling at those of us who keep his music alive. That's right Fishheads...another video for all of you, & for none of you at all. Fresh off my grill. Sure, one could reasonably argue that there are analogous eras in history like the era we're in now. I don't see it, but it seems that maybe some do. I'm not getting the whole "history rhymes" vibe at all. Nope, no vibes on this because whatever is coming is like nothing we've ever seen before. Whatever that is, I do not know yet, but what I do know is this: Be a Creator, Be a Warrior for the One True Light of God/Source, Be yourself, Be brave, Be content in being alone, but most of all...BE FREE...yes, be free, while you still have a choice. Many of you do not even have a choice. Many of you have no idea you have a choice. If this describes you, ya might be an NPC...just sayin. There's ALWAYS a choice. I spent 23 days this past July wide awake, ZERO sleep. It was quite a journey to say the least, What did I get from that experience? We are all acorns, & most spend their whole lives within the shell of their acorn. Some of us, however, discover we are truly oak trees trapped in acorn shells, & thus, we explode forth into being, being a proverbial oak tree, stretching toward the Sun, as the roots stretch into the Earth.
