Lionsgate is once again teaming up with author Suzanne Collins to write another Hunger Games book that can be adapted into a movie.

The latest attempt by Lionsgate to do this occurred in last November’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes which saw moderate success. This next book will take place 24 years prior to the first Hunger Games movie starring Jennifer Lawrence and will feature the character of Haymitch Abernathy during his Hunger Games appearance. It makes sense Lionsgate will want to continue with the franchise as long as it still has some life left in it.
