트레일링 스탑(Trailing Stop)은 주식이나 기타 금융 자산을 거래할 때 사용되는 주문 유형으로, 자산의 가격이 유리한 방향으로 움직일 때는 그에 따라 자동으로 스톱 로스(손절매) 가격을 조정하여 잠재적인 수익을 보호하는 동시에 손실을 제한하는 기능을 합니다.

주요 특징:
유리한 가격 이동에 따라 조정: 자산의 가격이 투자자가 설정한 방향으로 이동할 경우, 스탑 로스 가격도 그에 따라 자동으로 조정됩니다. 예를 들어, 주식 가격이 상승할 때마다 스탑 로스 가격도 함께 올라갑니다.

고정된 간격: 트레일링 스탑은 일정한 비율이나 금액(예: 5% 또는 $1)을 기준으로 설정됩니다. 자산의 가격이 그 기준에 따라 움직이면 스탑 로스 가격도 같은 비율이나 금액만큼 조정됩니다.

하락 시 고정: 자산의 가격이 유리한 방향으로 움직이지 않거나 반대로 움직일 경우, 스탑 로스 가격은 조정되지 않고 고정된 상태로 남아 있어 손실을 제한합니다.

트레일링 스탑은 투자자가 시장의 변동성에 대비하면서도 잠재적인 수익을 확보할 수 있도록 도와주는 유용한 도구입니다.

A trailing stop is a type of order used in trading stocks or other financial assets that automatically adjusts the stop loss price as the asset's price moves in a favorable direction. This helps to protect potential profits while limiting losses.

Key Features:
Adjustment with Favorable Price Movement: As the asset's price moves in the investor's favor, the stop loss price automatically adjusts accordingly. For example, if the stock price rises, the stop loss price also rises.

Fixed Interval: A trailing stop is set based on a fixed percentage or amount (e.g., 5% or $1). As the asset's price moves by this fixed amount or percentage, the stop loss price adjusts by the same amount or percentage.

Fixed During Unfavorable Movements: If the asset's price does not move favorably or moves against the investor, the stop loss price remains fixed to limit losses.

A trailing stop is a useful tool that helps investors secure potential profits while staying prepared for market volatility.
