In the fall of 1976, she attended Florida State University and pledged Chi Omega Sorority. On January 15, 1978, she was attacked by Ted Bundy. He entered the sorority house and attacked four women, killing two. Kathy was one of the two women who were brutally beaten and fortunately survived that night.
