The Milky Way can be seen as a pale white band in the sky at night in a completely dark sky (away from moonlight and light pollution). The width of this strip is approximately 30 degrees.
کهکشان راه شیری، شب‌ها در آسمانی کاملاً تاریک (به دور از نور ماه و آلودگی نوری) به صورت نوار سفید کم رنگی در آسمان دیده می‌شود. پهنای این نوار تقریباً ۳۰ درجه است.
