The Spirit Lake Massacre: The True Story

The Spirit Lake Massacre was a tragic event that took place in March 1857, when a Wahpekute band of Santee Sioux led by the renegade chief Inkpaduta (Scarlet Point) attacked scattered Iowa frontier settlements during a severe winter.
