Ivory Hecker: Why I Left TV News and Told the Viewers About it Live on Air

Today is the anniversary of the day I said goodbye to my dream job and told the viewers live on air that reporters are being controlled to hide certain information.

This video is the story of when FOX crossed the line and threatened to fire me if I continued seeking answers to certain viewer questions about the pandemic.

My dream company turned their back on the viewers and defamed and disciplined me for asking questions and reporting the answers. When I hired a defamation lawyer, they shredded their defamatory threats against me.

I later crunched the numbers and learned the hospital I covered was saving four times more lives than the average hospital across America. I remember being shocked and shedding tears over the fact that my company had hidden life saving information at a critical time.

My TV news outlet blamed a gossip site for the need to punish me for my allegiance to the viewers and their questions. They were so afraid to be gossiped about that they threw the pursuit of truth out the window.

There are many massive cowards in TV news that control courageous reporters.

Fortunately we are in a new cutting edge era when TV news is no longer needed— when courageous reporters can go independent and seek answers to viewers’ questions without being controlled.

But how do we earn a living if we’re not getting a corporate paycheck? Turns out, in this new era, journalists can make even more money doing news independently than they did with the chump change their controlling news corporations rationed for them.
