245 - Kevin McCarthy's Vengeance Tour: Front Row Seat

Former Congressional House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is on a vengeance tour designed to oust eight Republican Representatives who voted against him as Speaker. A Political Action Committee (PAC) has been established and funded to support candidates running against these eight members of Congress in the primaries. McCarthy allies have identified three GOP Reps they felt were most vulnerable in primaries: Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), Bob Good (R-Va.) and Eli Crane (R-Ariz.). Nancy easy won her primary, Good’s fate will be determine this Tuesday (June 18), while Crane’s primary in Arizona will be held on July 30.

Brian Sussman moderated a debate last weekend in Yavapai County, Arizona between Congressman Crane and his McCarthy-backed opponent, Jack Smith. Brian’s pointed questions caused Smith to reveal his positions on a number of key issues including climate change (Smith is a believer), Ukraine (Smith is all for more funding) and his association with the pro-McCarthy PAC.
