‘TRUTH IS TREASON IN ISRAEL’

You might have heard claims thrown around about Israeli government policies not reflecting society. However, as Israeli journalist and author Gideon Levy (@levy_haaretz and @levy.gideon) relayed in this recent Al Jazeera interview, the country is very much the reactionary place that would birth apartheid policies.

He described his experience where a woman at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art recently called him a traitor for his well-known opposition to Israel k*lling tens of thousands of Palestinians. He said a wave of willful ignorance has washed over Israel in recent decades, with many choosing to ignore or be complicit in their state’s massacre of Palestinians.
