According to the Bible, the Nephilim were the offspring of human women and fallen angels known as "sons of God". This union between humans and angels resulted in a race of giants who were said to be incredibly strong and powerful.

The origin of the word "Nephilim" comes from the Hebrew word "nephiyl", which means "fallen ones".
