Episode 186 Keeping up with Canada Part 9

In the FINAL (can you believe it) segment of Keeping up with Canada this season I share a couple of bills that sound winning and one that’s got me sus and icky.

First bill I chat about is Bill C-368 proposing “amends the Food and Drugs Act to provide that natural health products are not therapeutic products within the meaning of that Act”.

Meaning they are not subject to the same regulations as pharmaceuticals. Which happened in Bill C-47.

Bill C-293 I am left feeling lost and confused and icky if I’m being honest. It’s big and boring and I see why no one wants to read this stuff.

My question is… we put in laws to hold government accountable but they don’t do it or retract or refuse to release information soooooo…… adding more does what exactly?

You babes let me know! This has me lost. But I hear WHO and I am like NURRRR.

And lastly I talk about an update to Bill S-11 that puts more control in the victims of abused hands, more control over information being shared about their cases as well as updates on their abuses, PLUS updates on the s*x offender registration lists.
