Hello everyone. Tonight we take a break from our series "The New Birth" to address a question that is commonly asked. What is that question?

The question to which I am referring is this, "Kevin, if God sovereignly elects the people who will be saved, why evangelize?

Wouldn't the elect simply come to Christ anyway?

The answer to the second question is simple, no they will not. The answer to the first question will explain why "no" is the answer to the second question.

God's sovereign election plan includes evangelism. 2 Cor. 5:16-21 commands every believer to be ambassadors by evangelizing using only the gospel of Jesus Christ.
