A pause from work

Got finished with some work picking away “weeds” from the potatos and fava beans so I took a little rest with the boys. My two besties Colonel Sanders, aka “the Kernel” who is on my lap and Jack Sparrow who loves laying on my shoulder.

Now I’m not one to be in front of a camera because I feel dumb and it’s just not my thing but I want to remember this and how I felt when these guys show me they love me and love to be with me. It’ll make those cold, dark days of winter a little more tolerable. I am a little alert when I have them close to my face because you can’t trust a chicken’s curiosity to not wanna peck your eyes or lips. I’ve gotten a love bite on my lips before and it’s not pleasurable. It’s cute though.
