How to Store Bare Root Plants

You can keep bare root plants alive for at least 3 years using this method.

The packages you get from Arbor Day only tell you one way to plant bare root trees for an extended amount of time. It entails digging a hole at a 45 degree angle and keeping them there for a pretty short amount of time and then digging them back up. I have never used that method, but instead, I put my bare root trees into pots for long term storage.
