The idea that atheists believe in nothing and simply accept that nothing happens when they die is quite illogical. Atheism is a religion, a lack of belief in any god.

Many atheists hold various beliefs about what happens after death. Some may believe in reincarnation, while others may subscribe to unproven theories like the Big Bang and evolution to explain the origin and eventual end of life as we know it.
