It took them seven years, but #Snopes.com finally acknowledged the media-pushed "Very Fine People" Charlottesville hoax aimed at President Donald Trump is complete bunk. We all knew this and, most likely, so did the Snopesters. The hoax was the staple of Joe Biden's 2020 campaign against Trump and a large portion of Americans fell for it. Still, Snopes could have done published this at any time, including when the hoax was perpetrated. In turn, they also did not have to post it. Thus, the question: Why now? Why was this "very fine people" hoax finally called out by Snopes on the week of the Biden-Trump debate Number 1 and in the middle of a heated election season?
