Is It Herx or Is It Something Else?

For anyone recovering from Lyme disease, it’s often the case that the detox process is worse than the actual disease. This condition is often referred to as a Herxheimer Reaction, or "herx," and is characterized by dying off bacteria then releases toxins into the bloodstream. Though patients experience varying levels of a Herx, it can range from nonexistent to potentially fatal.
