Young fruit trees need protection!

Today we installed apple trees and I talk about the various means of protections, in addition to the deer fence. Young fruit trees in the wild have many natural allies that aren’t all available or fully understood. In a wild agroforest system, we try to assist the cultivars while not intervening so much as in an organic orchard system. Bark shields and cages are wise, in case any deer or rabbits break into the fence. I stumble through this video nicely.
