Julian Assange is finally free, but we may have lost more than he did

After 14 years of imprisonment and a few false allegations, whistleblower Julian Assange is finally free. While many blame him for sharing confidential information, others hail him as a hero for outing US war crimes.

While he's free now, the freedoms Americans lost during that time period have never been returned and only grow more draconic to this day under the current administration.
