Big lily

These are the largest lilies in our garden. The flower is the size of a human palm. An amazing creation of human gardening.

Lily seems fragile. But even a strong wind this summer could not break this tall flower. Gladiolus is weaker than lily. We had to tie rope around the gladiolus leaves. As the leaves fell to the ground. And the lily grows despite strong winds. This summer, nature often brings extreme weather.
