Country lunch

Friends, I offer you a treat. Today our rural lunch consists of boiled new potatoes and meat cutlets, as well as salad. The salad is made from tomatoes and cucumbers. Vegetables are covered in mayonnaise. Plus homemade bread.

How much does this food cost us?
Ground pork and beef for cutlets: $3 for 2.2 lbs.
New potatoes: 50 cents per 2.2 pounds
Tomatoes: $1.4 for 2.2 lbs.
Cucumbers: 85 cents for 2.2 pounds
Mayonnaise sauce: 70 cents 0.72 pounds
Bread: 25 cents 0.7 pounds

This is the price of food for one day for a family of two.

We buy all these vegetables from people who garden further south of us. The vegetables in our garden are not yet ripe. We buy flour for bread from a local farmer. He works all summer in the fields next to our garden. We buy meat at a store in the city.
