Taking Off On Wings Airways (Alaska)

While in Alaska, one of the things we looked forward to was flying in a float (sea) plane. As you might know, this is one of the main ways many Alaskans travel, especially since a lot of places are not connected by roads. Waterways are plentiful, though, so float planes it is!

Wow, were we ever not disappointed. We took a flight over the Mendenhall Glacier and a MASSIVE ice field. It was absolutely stunning.
