All Things Spiritual-What is the Rest?

Isaiah 28:9 instructs us to teach the world knowledge of God and his will, and to make them understand doctrine. This instruction is also given to the Apostles during their time with Jesus. God's way of dealing with men is to enlighten their minds with the knowledge of his truth and to attract them to comply with his laws. Precept is defined as a rule or principle prescribing a particular course of action or conduct. In society, many rules are made up by man, but the most important rules are created by God. Both man's and God's rules are established for our own good, but the difference lies in their intentions. God's rules are established with 100% certainty, and by following them, society has the best chance of surviving.

Isaiah 28:12 and Matthew 11:28 teach us to rest and learn from God, who is meek and lowly in heart. By following God's rules, we can find rest in our souls.
