The literally-untold suffering, ignored by politicians and the news media, of pain patients denied adequate treatment in the name of fighting the War on Drugs and the "opioid epidemic," results in a common experience where they plan to commit suicide if they're ever denied their medicine.

The CDC acknowledges that this happens, but we don't know how often, because (since this goes directly against their political agenda) the CDC refuses to even COUNT them!
