Change E4 - Into the Desert
This episode is the concluding discussion of our series on CHANGE . In today's conversation we explore how the Hebrews, under Moses’ leadership, were led to change, in order to be set free from slavery. This story and these scriptures are an analogy that helps us to see and believe that God will set us free from those things that hold us prisoner. What is in you that holds you back? You will discover the answer in the desert. Join us as we go “Into The Desert” on Tangible Talks Podcast.
Questions proposed:
Why is the desert a theme in scripture?
Why is the desert an important place?
Why was the desert a setting for changing the Hebrews from slaves to free people?
What does it mean to fear God in scripture?
Topics considered:

To know God's WAYS is to know who He is; to know God's ACTS is to know what He does. There is a difference. God wants us to know His ways!
Experiencing the winds of change in your life, how to recognize and prepare for seasons of change.
Sometimes we are called to lead and other times we are called to support others. Together we can have greater impact.
4 reasons God lead the people into the desert:
To humble them
To prove them (what is in you? Will you be loyal to God)
To know their heart
To see if they will keep the laws of God (will they do things the way God says to do them)?
4 Ways to know someone is called to change, but will not, or is unwilling to change at the present time:
Excuses
Complaining and grumbling
Blame others for the situation (fault finding)
Want to go back
