Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (2019)

Because of the altered death mechanisms, a lot of Soulslike fans don't think it Sekiro as a part of the series. In contrast to previous games, Sekiro boasts a named protagonist with a predetermined backstory. Players have no influence over the skill set of their characters and very restricted weaponry.
This fictionalized story, which takes place in a Sengoku-era Japan in the 1500s, tells the story of a Shinobi who rises from the dead and follows his road of vengeance. Despite being radically different from every other game in FromSoftware's library, Miyazaki's assurance that Shadow of the Erdtree will have level-up systems like to those in Sekiro makes Sekiro an essential part of the Elden Ring storyline.
