KNOW THAT YOU KNOW / Pastor Bob's Coffee Break

Dear Pastor Bob: Does one have to adhere to the doctrine of eternal security to be saved? I ask because some say that if a Christian believes that works are essential for Salvation, then that person isn’t truly saved. In other words, they believe a false Gospel and are heading straight for the pits of hell. Is this line of thinking Biblical? Do you have any thoughts regarding eternal security?
