DTLA Kid Frost Mural - Event Highlights

Over the weekend Los Angeles celebrated one of the pioneers of west coast hiphop, Kid Frost. STP Crew and FX Crew, two well known graffiti crews collaborated on the mural to commemorate the rapper. A previous mural had been covered up, so they wanted to bring back something even bigger. The event featured several local vendors and artists along with performances by local rappers.

The event started off with a blessing of the wall to honor the artwork and protect it for years to come. Later Kid Frost himself showed up and thanked everyone with a thoughtful speech and kicked some knowledge about the history of Los Angeles. Piko 5uave was out on the scene getting exclusive interviews from some of the artists and people who attended with the goal of documenting the history of west coast hiphop and graffiti.
