Benjamin Netanyahu is sacrificing Israel on the altar of his own political survival. Unwilling to have his legacy tarnished by a defeat from Hamas and facing political suicide once the war ends, Netanyahu is refusing calls from the army to end the war. Further, a war with Hezbollah at this moment would destroy both countries.

Scott Ritter also bolsters the claim by Chris Busby (posted on this channel recently) that Israel has low radioactive yield neutron bombs that have effectively rehabilitated nuclear weapons on the battlefield.
