Tell me something my friends.

How do you invest in studying the scriptures?

Do you treat studying the scriptures as something you look forward to, or as a chore? Do you really understand what it means to invest, to really take time and studying the scriptures, and that it's not about memorizing bazillions of verses, or knowing where a Bible verse is, but really taking time to understand what you're reading?

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that I learned from this morning's passage, as well as from all the things God has shown me so far from His Word, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you will and power you to want to not just read God's word, but to want to learn it and live it out in your life. So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with this final question from this morning's devotional, and I pray that you will act on it.

How can delighting in them change your perspective on God's call to obey?

I pray that as you read God's Word every day, that first and foremost you see it as a wonderful opportunity to spend time with God. To communicate with Him, and to immerse yourself in the wonderful principles and precepts that He has for you. I pray especially that you choose to recognize the priceless value of God's Word when you read it every day, and to allow God every day to speak to you through it. I especially pray that you learn to realize, that what makes you “spiritual” isn't how many Bible verses you've memorized, how many the books of the Bible you've read, or knowing where to find a Bible verse, but that you really take time to know what you're reading, and that you choose to live it out in your life every day. Choose to not only hide God's Word in your heart, by memorizing and reading it, but in living it out most of all.
