PT. 3: FORMER CIA AGENT SPILLS ON WAR AGAINST THIRD WORLD

Westerners preferred method of divide and rule has long been employed to dominate and wreak terror across the Global South.

We, African people, know this strategy all too well: From the viral diaspora wars that seem to garner clicks and views online to the brutal history of European balkanisation efforts in places like the Sudan, Nigeria, the Horn of Africa, and elsewhere across the continent. Imperialist forces exploit any conflict or tension to exploit us.

This 1988 video clip features former CIA agent John Stockwell, who speaks about the long history of the CIA funding and supporting death squads, which massacred civilians across Central American countries, such as El Salvador.

This, too, is a familiar strategy to us Africans, whether on the continent or in the diaspora. Well-armed 'terrorists' in Africa's Sahel region and 'gangs' in Haiti lead our fellow Africans to raise an eyebrow. After Mali recently took back control of terrorist strongholds, authorities found evidence of a US mercenary presence. Meanwhile, mysterious shipments of arms have been arriving on the coast of Haiti from unknown US-based senders.
