Body recovered from White River on Indy's northwest side, death investigation underway

Water rescue crews recovered a body from the White River on Indianapolis' northwest side Thursday afternoon.  Indianapolis Fire Department water rescue crews were called to the river near West 42nd Street and Michigan Road shortly after 4:30 p.m. after a kayaker reported what they believed to be a body in the water.
