The original title for this was The X Factor: Generation X in Clown World. I decided to frame the coursing of a life on the presupposition that all of it can be best understood from the perspective of Clown Evolution, or what I like to call the etymology of a clown. Clowns seem to be so relatable precisely because nearly everyone.is one. It's getting so bad it feels as though life is a caricature of itself, not quite real and awfully dumb. This is always what happens at the end of Empire.
