Absolute Independence, Absolute Freedom: Culture is Not Your Friend

Watching the world burn with a fat sack of marshmallows (or maybe mushrooms), from my vantage point in a small Andean town is increasingly surreal. From what I can see on my various screens, it appears that the majority of the denizens of all of these collapsing empires are completely oblivious to the both the painfully obvious causes of their conundrum, and the obvious solutions that these causes imply.

Religious and political indoctrination has eroded the common sense and clouded the vision of the overwhelming majority of people in the United States. Like machines, The People are acting like lost souls in a fishbowl; retreading the same ground that created their problems, in a pathetic, mindless, misguided, and abjectly hopeless attempt to poke and prod the other cattle into conformity with whatever prefabricated, matrix propaganda machine approved, political tripe that has been regurgitated into their mouths by their parent, the oligarchal Bald Eagle. And, as birds are wont to do, the eagle has chosen a favorite chick. It will now kill the ugly duckling, leaving only a single, blindly loyal, offspring, that will be far easier for it to manage.

The only hope for us now is understanding, that understanding must be born of courage, objectivity, and strength. We must pry ourselves out of the desperate, destroying, talons of this Eagle; nationalism, religion, and bipartisan politics
