‘Dangerous message’: Concerns kids being taught Australia is not a ‘legitimate country’

Sky News host Rita Panahi says parents of students at a school in the Blue Mountains are “upset” after their children were told to put their hands on the ground and say “always was, always will be Aboriginal land”.
“Apparently this happens regularly before assemblies,” Ms Panahi said.
“It’s a message that has been normalised and every corporation, every politician, every celebrity, you can’t land a plane without having been welcomed to your own country and it’s all part of the same message that we’re not a legitimate country.
“It is a dangerous message.”
