The previous motor on the car had cracked. I gave my friend a good block and swapped all internals and installed all new oem components (bearings, seals, ect). however, after assembly of the engine, we experienced piston slap. Car was taken to a shop (because I was busy and didn't have the time) to have 0.25 oem honda piston installed. the result was an engine that was put back together with non honda components and ran without an oil filter. The shop claimed that the oil pump was bad even though the car was driven for 3 months without issues prior to being taken to them.
