West Virginia: Day Two (2024)

DAY TWO: West Virginia — Join us for more nature bliss.

Our morning adventure begins at the magical AirBnB we made home for 8 days in the tiny town of Thomas. It was wonderful to enjoy this amazing property without any other guests with our friend Morag and her cute pup, Coco.

Vic and I ate well on this journey and delicious foodie Adventures was one of our enjoyable themes.

A friendly local tipped us off to some great hikes and a private watering hole on the river. After some gorgeous sweaty hikes, swimming in the river for a few hours was divine. A fish came by to give me a love nibble! Haha, better than a snake because we did see one in the water with us on Day 8.

Being as it’s my first time to explore the heavenly state of West Virginia and my friend Vic knows it well, he was an excellent guide to hikes, waterfalls, and incredible sunset vistas.

It seemed as if we stepped into this peaceful vortex where time was suspended and 8 days of adventuring felt much longer.

Get outdoors! Mother Nature is healing.
