Bump Stocks are back

What is a machine gun? That’s the question behind the case Garland v. Cargill. ATF promulgated a regulation redefining bump stocks as machine guns. Michael Cargill filed suit claiming the ATF violated the Administrative Procedures Act when they created the new rule. While the Supreme Court found that the rule exceeded ATF’s authority, they left open the possibility that Congress could do what the ATF could not.

This case was not about the Second Amendment. Perhaps it should be. It’s time to find representatives at all levels of government who recognize our God-given right to defend ourselves from all enemies, foreign or domestic, civilian or government. Only then would those in Congress, the Executive Branch, and the courts who want to see the American people disarmed be stopped in their tracks.
