When CDC Falsely Promoted Pharma Product As Safe And Effective FDA Failed To Stop It

Rep. Thomas Massie: "I'd like to show a video that Pfizer produced, this was an ad for the boosters...Given that this was an EU product is there anything missing from this ad? Does that seem like a compliant ad to you?"
Philip R. Krause, M.D., Former FDA Deputy Chief for Vaccines: "Normally average advertisements of products include some disclaimers of course in places to go for more information or a suggestion that one talk with one's physician...So it does seem like something is missing..."
Rep. Thomas Massie: "Mr. Siri was the FDA not dr. Krause, but was doctor Marks aware of this video? And isn't not within subdivision under Peter Marks, aren't they responsible for policing these things and did doctor Marks know about this?"
Aaron Siri: "Absolutely. Our firm sent a letter to the FDA about this advertisement and others including on Sesame Street saying, pointing out that they do not comply with the federal regulations and the federal law because even the EUA itself issue for the Pfizer Covid vaccine said that any time the EUA product was going to be promoted there was a disclaimer that must be put on it saying this has not been licensed as safe and effective. But nonetheless that disclaimer you did not see it on that advertisement and when we pointed out the FDA they did not do anything about it. Even worse, the CDC itself actually violated the rule by promoting the vaccine to safe and effective when it was EUA and we wrote a letter to the FDA saying: Do you're going to enforce your rules against the CDC? And the FDA never took action."
Rep. Massie: "Wasn't it the case that in 41 video Peter Marks himself , the person in charge of vaccine approval was making claims that were not vetted by the FDA and in fact would have been illegal for the manufacturer to make yet the regulatory agency was making those claims?"
Aaron Siri: "I'm not aware of any exception that would have permitted the FDA itself to violate a regulation or the United States code which it was that particular disclaimer derived from."
