The U.S. Coast Guard Air Station in Traverse City has a new commander.

Commander Ryan Hawn was welcomed to the post Tuesday Morning relieving Captain Andrew Schanno. The Coast Guard changes its commander at the station every two years. Schanno says his time at the helm of the station has been the highlight of his career.
