#325 - 20130128 - Rocket stove installed, performance data

The Rocket stove mass heater is installed and heating! Performance data is outstanding. Why am I bailing out of permies.com? Below are some posts I made there which cannot be seen by non-registered users because forum moderators have hidden them from public view. I presume they are even hidden from other registered members for the threat it poses to the monumental egos steering that ship. So that you too can know just who you're dealing with at Permies, below are those very posts that they do not want you to see.

"Okay, I have now received two private messages here "reminding" me of a forum policy that users must select a "real sounding name" for their profile. I began posting my project here as a favor to Paul because Paul contacted me directly at YouTube and asked me to do so. Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I choose to be anonymous and that is for good reason. Let there be no misunderstanding. I will not be pressured into giving up that anonymity just for the privilege of posting to this forum.

I'm generally pretty easy going but this much is non-negotiable. It does not concern me that some egos here are getting bent. Even if I were to select a "real sounding name", everyone will know it's not my real name anyway. I am known as Zero Fossil Fuel, Zero or just Z. That is who I am. Take it or leave it.

Then Paul messaged me again on YouTube basically saying their decision is final, please use your real name, to which I of course replied "The answer is no. Do as you please." I then posted this final message at permies which is also now hidden from public view...

"So I received another message from Paul at YouTube earlier today. It would seem that I have reached an impasse with the forum moderators here at permies.com regarding this "real sounding name" BS. As a result I expect that they will be locking out my account soon. And so this is goodbye. I wish all the other members here well. I shall not post here again, even after they realize what a monumental mistake it was to let their egos cloud their judgement.

Should you disagree with the way things are being run here, I suggest you take that up with your forum moderators.
