Check out this video of the IDF dropping leaflets warning Gazans to flee the combat zone! Also a Washington Post article claims that Israel and Hamas have both agreed that in the second phase of the ceasefire deal, neither Hamas nor Israel would govern Gaza. Instead, security would be handled by a force trained by the United States and supported by moderate Arab allies. The US actually already tried this approach back in 2005 under the Bush Administration and it turned out to be a miserable failure. What, if any, lessons have we learned since then?
