Fight Like Shaylee Fundraiser

We're reaching out to you with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits for a friend, a member of our own family, Dan and Colleen Klaes. Simply put, Dan has dedicated his life to helping others. Through his work, he's mentored countless individuals, offering his guidance, support, expertise, and even the shirt off his back. His kindness and generosity has touched many of our lives, and making a significant impact in our community. Now, it's our turn to support Dan and his family. Let's rally together to support Dan and Colleen, who has tirelessly been there for us, by providing the same care and compassion they have shown to so many.

Dan and Colleens daughter, Shaylee, has recently been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a form of cancer that starts in the bones, which has also spread to lungs. This unexpected diagnosis has literally turned the Klaes family's world upside-down in a matter of minutes, and they are now facing one of the most challenging journey's they've ever faced; a road of intensive treatment, chemotherapy, and constant medical care.

Shaylee, the youngest of the Klaes family, is a vibrant young girl who loves cheerleading, Taylor Swift, and her golden doodle, Peanut. She's the apple of Dan's eye, a beacon of happiness, energy, and positivity, and has been admirably strong the past couple of weeks during this tumultuous time. Shaylee’s bravery is matched only by the love and support of her incredible family.

As Shaylee and her family traverse this difficult journey, we want to ensure they have one less thing to worry about - meals. The costs associated with cancer treatment are staggeringly overwhelming, and we want to alleviate some of that burden by providing funds for healthy meals that can sustain and comfort them during this trying time.

So how can you help? This is where we all pitch in. We are launching "A Klaes Above the Rest", a fundraising campaign to rally support for the Klaes family. Your generous donations will go directly towards:

Covering the costs of chemotherapy, surgeries, hospitals stays, and other medical treatments.
Preparing, delivering, or ordering healthy meals for the Klaes family.
Travel expenses to and from the hospital, including gas, parking, and more.
Lodging for hotel stays or short-term rentals should anyone need to stay overnight.
Paying the bills to keep the lights on at home
Normal, every day costs of living.
