This week's Rollercoaster Tycoon video takes us to Dynamite Dunes, a Park built in the middle of a desert. It comes with a pre-built Roller Coaster with plenty of room for expansion. The very warm climate also makes this particular scenario's guest thirsty for refreshments!

Roller Coaster Tycoon was released back in 1999 and is a construction and themepark management simulation video game. It was released for Microsoft Windows and later it was ported to Microsoft Xbox. It was the first in a long line of games and expansions released under the RollerCoaster Tycoon brand.

It's one of the most straight forward scenarios in the game where you have a much larger amount of money than we did for Forest Frontiers with an objective or having a far higher number of guests within the park required by a certain point in time.

The landscape within Dynamite Dunes provides some excellent opportunities to get creative with designing our Log Flume and Coasters and well as pathways for guests with some going over the top of hills but also underground too.

In this episode we explore creating a Haunted House, Car Ride, Mine Train Coaster, Pirate Ship and Log Flume while also exploring the construction of Food and Drinks Stalls, Toilets, Cash Machines and Information Kiosks.

Two expansions were released at the time, Added Attractions/ Corkscrew Follies and Loop Landscapes. The game gives players the opportunity to complete a set of scenarios where you have to successfully contruct and upkeep an amusement park by owning parks and playing as a theme park entrpreneur.

The game has a whole host of rides and attractions which include a Carousel, Ferris Wheel, Roller Coasters, Haunted House, Log Flume, Go Karts, Boat Rides, Miniature Railways and Monorails, Ghost Trains, Dodgems, Water Slides, Pirate Ships and many more.

You can hire a number of different members of staff which includes Entertainers, Handymen who are responsible for cleaning pathways, emptying bins, watering and mowing lawns. There are also security guards policing paths trying to prevent vandals from destroying your Park and mechanics repairing and carrying out maintenance on rides you have contructed.
