York Audio vs ML Sound Lab V30 IR Comparison

This is a science-adjacent comparison of different Vintage 30 cab packs I have from York Audio and ML Sound Lab. Like, Comment, and Subscribe.

Both companies make great quality impulse responses. Lately I have been switching back and forth between the two. Like, comment, and Subscribe.

York Audio has the advantage in variety of cab types and speaker options. From small Fender combos to oversized 4x12s, York Audio will have something suitable for you. Like, Comment, and Subscribe. York Audio's founder, Justin York, is both an experienced session and live guitar player, probably most well known for playing live in Paramore now. My only complaint about York Audio is that not all their cab packs are phase aligned with each other. So you have to be careful when blending IRs.

One of ML Sound Lab's greatest attributes is that all their IRs will be phase aligned, so you never have to worry when blending different packs in their collection. Like, Comment, and Subscribe. I started using ML Sound Lab IRs a couple years ago. I noticed their IRs were more "Lifelike" over another IR creator that I used.
ML Sound Lab's catalog has some hidden gems in the speaker world. And are not afraid to search high and low to find the best example of a particular speaker. My complaint for ML Sound Lab that is I wish they would have more variety in cab options. Their only non-4x12 packs include a Vox AC30 cab and a Suhr 2x12. I love 4x12s, but I need more variety for studio sessions and gigs. Like, Comment, and Subscribe.
