Donald Trump's Assassination Attempt Reaction

Today is July 13th, 2024, and what happened today was something I never thought was possible to execute today. A gunman climbed onto the rooftop of a building that was facing the area where President Donald Trump was speaking during the rally. Suddenly, something struck Donald Trump's ears. Followed by more shots for which the former president could dodge away. Secret service quickly formed, and they took down the gunman, and unfortunately, two other persons lost their lives attending the rally.

With the technology we have today, I am dumbfounded that someone was able to attempt to assassinate a presidential candidate. I grew up seeing and learning about this, but nothing I ever thought would occur in the modern day. Today marks an important time in our history. No matter how advanced we are, no matter what technology we possess, and no matter how much security we have, we are as powerful as our weakest link.
