Personal Multi-year Wildfire Mitigation Plan

It might just be common sense but here are a few basic ideas to consider that might help reduce the fire hazard on your property.

I recently had to invest more time into my fire mitigation plan because of an active human caused wildfire that initiated just 2500 meters away. This video was filmed July 1st 2024 and so this was slightly over two weeks ago. There are so many things you can do to lower the risk of wildfire but I fully admit that it is immensely demanding on a person to assume this responsibility (both physical and spiritual).

Always comply with good venting rules, wildfire and smoke control regulations. Equally important is to maintain good relations with your neighbors. Communicate with them what you're doing and when you plan on doing it. They might even offer too help resource you!
