The Nag Hammadi Library, also known as the Nag Hammadi Scrolls or the Gnostic Gospels, is a collection of ancient texts that were discovered in 1945 near the Egyptian town of Nag Hammadi. The collection contains 13 codices (manuscript books) comprising over 50 separate texts, written mostly in the Coptic language. These texts provide valuable insights into early Christian and Gnostic beliefs and practices.
