Noise hazards in the workplace | WSIB
Hazardous noise is any sound that's frequency (e.g., high pitch), intensity (loudness), and duration (length of time) can cause permanent hearing loss. You can use a simple test to find out if your workplace has hazardous noise.
To protect your hearing, we suggest you:
Turn the volume down.
Walk away from loud noise.
Take breaks from noise.
Avoid loud, noisy activities and places.
Use hearing protection.
