Punishment Motivates More Than Rewards, Study Finds

Several studies, especially a landmark 2015 study by Washington University in St. Louis, suggests that punishment works better than rewards.

The straightforward study focused on either giving 25 cents for correct answers or taking away 25 cents for incorrect answers. They found that taking away 25 cents resulted in far more behavior change.
